Accreditation
We work with outpatient surgery and endoscopy centers throughout the southeastern United Stated to achieve and maintain accreditation through Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities.
Seeing the entire picture when it comes to all the small tasks that make up compliance with AAAHC or QUAD A standards offers you the ability to more effectively zoom out and in when necessary. We help you target the must-dos, learn where and how to delegate required tasks, and feel confident in your role.
When it comes to accreditation, we have a perfect rack record. Every one of our Maintenance and Comprehensive clients has successfully obtained accreditation. We achieve this through development of individualized plans, policies, procedures, protocols, and forms, working with you every step of the way from the initial assessment, to preparation, to the survey application. We are on site during the survey, and help complete any follow up activity as required by the accrediting body.
How it works
When to Start
New centers ideally start the process prior or during the building, design, renovation phase. This allows us to integrate practices and procedures as a part of design. It can also allow for better planning for staffing.
Accredited centers seeking re-accreditation, we recommend getting started at least 12 months before your AAAHC or QUAD A term expires. A track record of compliance is key. More condensed timelines may be possible in some circumstances.
Our Process
We develop a quality improvement program, a safety program, credentialing process, and policies and procedures that meet accreditation requirements and help you implement them in order to be successful during your accreditation survey. Additionally, we complete procedure observations and chart audits to ensure your clinical practice meets accreditation standards. You will meet with our team Monthly or Quarterly, depending on your needs.
Maintenance
Following your accreditation survey, we provide regular visits to ensure you maintain compliance with AAAHC standards. We support your leadership team with completing required tasks as well as keep you informed of standards changes, updates from CMS and help you and your staff grow in your roles through frequent trainings. When it is time for your next QUAD A or AAAHC survey, we help you submit the application for survey and complete a mock survey prior to the official survey.
